– For the fifth consecutive year, Deli Star
Corporation, a St. Louis-area producer of
quality cooked meat products, was awarded the
I-85 Supplier Award in recognition of its
commitment to excellence by KB Specialty Foods
of Greensburg, Indiana. Deli Star Corporation
provides KB Specialty Foods with bologna, ham
and Meat Basics™ diced chicken breast and diced
fajita chicken for their popular salads and
spreads.
The I-85 Supplier Award is presented to those
suppliers of KB Specialty Foods that
consistently demonstrate superior quality and
customer service. Deli Star Corporation
specializes in the production of diced chicken
and other quality protein products for salad
makers and other food manufacturers throughout
the country. Deli Star Corporation accepted
their first I-85 Supplier Award in 2003.

Deli Star Announces
Acquisition of
Gaucho Foods, Inc.
Fayetteville, Illinois, January 21, 2008
– Deli Star Corporation, a St. Louis-area
producer of quality cooked meat products, has
purchased Gaucho Foods, Inc. Gaucho Foods
supplies Chicago-area grocers with premium beef
products produced by Deli Star, such as Gaucho’s
Italian Beef and Gaucho’s Sliced Beef With
Gravy.
The acquisition will
facilitate the expansion of Deli Star’s product
offerings to regional and national retailers and
food manufacturers. As a result of the
acquisition, Deli Star Corporation’s work force
will increase by 4%. The privately owned
companies did not release the terms of the
acquisition.
