For instance, the Meat Basics™ diced meats are delivered refrigerated, not IQF (Individually Quick Frozen) or block frozen. After listening to a customer complain about the amount of time needed to thaw frozen products, Deli Star decided to find a way to deliver our diced meats refrigerated. Our highly skilled research and development team created a unique process of post-pasteurization that provides the extra step to kill bacteria (Listeria) eliminating the need to freeze the product. With this advanced process, Meat Basics™ diced meats are even safer than our competitors’ products, while possessing a longer shelf-life than IQF or block frozen products. By eliminating thaw time, Deli Star customers can reduce their production time and labor requirements to increase their efficiency and profitability!
All Deli Star products are labeled with brand name, ingredient statement, product code, USDA legend, production code (lot number) and marked “For Further Processing” for delivery.
